Week 21 - "I was just thinking about the cantaloupe"

21 weeks Jan. 5, 2010 • Size: Length 6.5-7in, weight 10-13oz, Size Cantaloupe

By now I have finally started to protrude... and people can now ask me if I am pregnant and my answer is definitely yes! Not ...

"Hows that baby doing? What baby brian?.... The baby panda at the ZOO!"- Brian Reagan

This is the year we are having a baby! It is all very real. Some emotions are happening at the drop of a hat as well. Poor ben, he is dealing so well with me!

"Baby's not so little any more -- by this week it'll have put on almost a pound! It's only a fraction of what it'll weigh at birth, but still major progress considering it's been (firmly) in ounces territory for the past 20 weeks. And this week the digestive system is also cranking into action, now able to absorb energy-boosting sugars from the amniotic fluid it's swallowing!" - Ages and Stages

" Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like it's practicing martial arts as the initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to the activity as you get to know baby better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now!" - Baby Center
