Week 8 - almost lost the tail

08 weeks Oct. 6, 2009 • Size: Length <.50-.75in, weight <.25oz, Size Blueberries
(baby blueberry)

"Ten tiny fingers and toes are forming now, and the baby's eyelids are beginning to cover his peepers -- which, by the way, now have pigment in them. And everything that started developing (arms and legs, heart, and brain) continues to become more refined and specialized!" - Ages and Stages

"Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, the eyelids practically cover the eyes, breathing tubes extend from the throat to the branches of the developing lungs, and the "tail" is just about gone. In the brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. The baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though I still can't feel it." - Baby Center
